CALVARY PORTFOLIO complaint
Calavary started contacted me about a debt with Sprint they said I owed back in 2000. I told the lady on the phone that Ive need something in writing stating what was owed and she said she couldnt give that to me! What the h*ll??? She wanted me to pay over the phone. I told her if I owed the debt I would not PAY ANYTHING VIA check or credit card over the phone. I said I would send u a money order if I owed a debt. She told me that do not accept a money order. I told her I dont know what to tell u, but Im not giving u anything over the phone. She went on to tell me that I have no true intentions on paying this bill, I will never pay the bill blah blah blah...Im like ok these are reallllly great tactics to get someone to pay NOT! By Law they have 5 days to send something in writing what is owed...and she said they wont do that!

I have argued with the same company and I am not the person they are trying to get the money from. Someone gave my number as a reference number and now they just won't stop calling. I have continuelly told them that I have no idea who they are trying to contact and to take my number off their list of which they said they would do. Since then I have gotten 20 phone calls from them. So much for them taking my number off :( . I have threatened to sue them for harrassment since I am not the person they are after. Let see if that works... I doubt it :?

I have been getting letters from this co. for over ayear now about a debt that I incurred from a shady car dealer who sold me a lemon and wouldn't give it back to me after 4 months of excuses as to why it wasn't fixed. I called the auto-mortgage co. and told them that the deal was broken, but they didn't care and they put this on my credit but never sued me. This was back in 2002. Now Calvary wants to try and make me pay this debt, which I already went to court last month for and they never showed. I just received another letter from their attorney saying that they're going to reopen the case and make me go to court all over again because they say that they didn't know they had to be in court that day. If I never showed for court and tried to say that, they wouldn't give me another date because they wouldn't except that bogus excuse for not being there. Calvary was just hoping that I wouldn't show and there would have been a judgement against me. This co. is the most shady piece of crap and I'm getting tired of it. After I get this settled, I'm taking all of my evidence of their wrong-doings and I'm going to the attorney general to show him all the harassment I'm going through. I advise any of you to save all your paperwork and do the same.

I am fighting with the same company about an old sprint bill. They are trying to say I owe them like $1500 after court costs, but to make their case they pick and choose what months of the bill they want to look at. I was WAY overcharged by both companies and was really relieved to see it finally make it to litigation. Sprint was charging me for things I wasn't supposed to be charged. So next month I face them in court.
